Meaghan owns MTB Dressage, a dressage training, instruction, and competition business serving southern Virginia and the Triad area of North Carolina. Her property in Browns Summit, NC serves as her home base and Meaghan travels to several clients as well. In addition, from 2012-2015 Meaghan was an Equestrian Associate and dressage trainer at Averett University in Danville, VA and is presently Assistant Professor of Business Administration. Meaghan herself earned an MBA and a BS in Business Finance, magna cum laude from Averett University.
As a dressage trainer, Meaghan emphasizes kindness and patience. She enjoys developing young horses with the goal of FEI competition. As an instructor, Meaghan helps her students find a harmonious partnership with their horses. Her passionate and creative approach enables riders to surpass old limitations. In addition to a large amateur clientele, Meaghan has worked with several young riders and para-equestrian, Donna Ponessa, whom she coached to a second place finish at the 2011 Dressage Affaire CPEDI3 in Del Mar, CA.
