M eaghan is based in Browns Summit, North Carolina at and offers freelance instruction and training in South-Central Virginia and the Triad-Region of North Carolina, specifically Summerfield, Stokesdale, Reidsville, Hillsborough, and Chapel Hill.
Training
Meaghan offers both long-term training which allows the horse to progress through the levels for the owner’s enjoyment, education, and competitive goals, as well as short-term training which can aid owners in their horse’s development to overcome specific training and performance hurdles. Training is available in full or partial packages as well as single and evaluation rides.
Traditional Lessons
Traditional Lessons strive to improve the overall gaits and suppleness of the horse and advance the skills and knowledge of the rider to achieve each pair’s individual goals. Private and semi-private lessons are available. Full and half day clinics are available at any location.
Longe and Seat Lessons
Longe and Seat lessons enable the rider to find and maintain their center of balance and strengthen vital core muscles without having the stress of handling the horse at the same time. Seat lessons incorporate floor exercises which are used to make each rider more aware of their own body and how to utilize it more effectively.
Select Sale Horses
Select sale horses are taken on an individual basis. Meaghan has experience finding riders’ their new equine partners in the USA, Germany, and Holland through her personal contacts with breeders and other professionals.
